“O merciful Creator, whose hand is open wide to satisfy the needs of every living creature: Make us, we beseech thee, ever thankful for thy loving providence; and grant that we, remembering the account we must one day give, may be faithful stewards of thy bounty, through Jesus Christ our Lord, who with thee and the Holy Spirit liveth and reigneth, one God, forever and ever.” Amen
The Mission of Calvary Episcopal Church Foundation

The Calvary Episcopal Church Foundation was created to serve as a supportive organization for the ministries and community of Calvary Episcopal Church. It provides a means by which parishioners and other interested parties can help meet needs not met by the operating budget alone, and provide extra support to the many outreach projects that Calvary undertakes. In addition, the Foundation provides a conduit through which special grants to support Calvary’s ministries may be applied for, as well as matching employer gifts not available to the church itself.
The reasons people give to the Foundation vary and are often uniquely personal, but a common thread is a love for the community of Christ that has been experienced at Calvary. Some examples include:

  • Memorial Gifts made in honor of a loved one.
  • Gifts of Gratitude   in   thanksgiving  of Blessings.
  • Gifts of Purpose to enhance the campus or ministries of Calvary.
  • Legacy Gifts, in which Calvary is a beneficiary of a will or insurance policy, provide for the future ministries of Calvary.

An example of a project that was partially funded by the Foundation is the recent renovation of our Parlor.  Thanks to gifts from friends and family in memory of a loved one, we now enjoy the benefits of a beautiful new room for small meetings and gatherings.

“Planning to make a gift...is not reserved for the wealthy. Remember, no gift is too small in the eyes of God.”
